About 7 years ago I just graduated from college with a nursing degree, and thought this would be the perfect time to fix my credit. I had tons of collections, medical bills, a repo, 2 judgments, and an old student loan that was haunting me.  

I hired a credit report repair company in Florida, and paid them $90.00 down and $59.00 a month for over a year. Yes! you heard right, for over a year. That's about $800.00 that I could not afford.

I am not going to name any names, but the company only removed 3 items off my credit report. I was constintley being denied for gas cards, credit cards, car loans and even a job. 
 
It was pathetic. My middle name became "denied." Lauren denied Walton.
 
During that time I became pregnant, and was put on strict bed rest. At only 3 months, I thought to myself what am I going to do for the next 6 months of pregnancy.
